Cherry Mash Candy

Some friends from Iowa (Tom and Linda Small) came to visit us this summer and brought a couple of bags of Cherry Mash candy. Tom had read my book taking note where I mentioned some of the candies I enjoyed from childhood and was kind enough to bring me a couple of bags of the delight. I used to buy a larger version of them from Roush Drugs located on the west side of the Corydon, Iowa town square. They were displayed by the comic book racks making it really hard to ignore along with the Bun candy bars and too many others to mention. They are still as good as ever with the pink cherry flavored center covered in chocolate and finely ground peanuts.

Unfortunately by the time I took this picture I had already eaten the contents of the other bag and most of this one. No regrets.
