D. R. Thatcher was born to Wilbur and Mary Thatcher with an older brother Steve. He grew up on a farm just west of Corydon, Iowa in Benton Township.

Bring Me Back Home is D. R. Thatcher’s first book. In his spare time of which there has been little since starting this book, he likes to hike and fish.

He married shortly after college, and has spent over 40 years in manufacturing engineering related positions living and working in a variety of locations.  D. R. Thatcher has three children and eight grandchildren and currently resides in Kentucky near Louisville.
