Bring Me Back Home
A Memoir
Life was different growing up on an Iowa farm in the 1950s and 60s. With few conveniences, his family was grateful when they eventually built an indoorbathroom and later acquired other amenities such as television, air conditioning and a graveled road leading to their farm. All the while the world was changing with the specter of war, the civil rights revolution, political assassinations and rapid advancements in science and technology.
Bring Me Back Home is a story about a man’s journey as he rediscovers his roots and learns how they have transformed him into what he is today. With a dose of nostalgia, D. R. Thatcher poses the question, can you go back home?
